20 Daily Thoughts When Working With Kids

Hello lovely readers. So I have been working with kids for just over a month now, I currently work part time in an after school club. When I told people that I got the job they all looked at me a bit strangely because, if you know me personally you'll already know this, I don't like kids. So why did I apply for the job? Money, money, money. Must be funny in the rich man's world (OK sorry no more ABBA) but you get the idea, I wanted some money other than my student loan. Now while my job hasn't made me a massive fan of kids or want to have babies immediately it has built up my tolerance of them. There are times when they frustrate me no end but there are other times where they can make me happy or straight up in fits of laughter.

Anyway, sorry for the lengthy intro, today I am going to be sharing with you 20 thoughts I have on a daily basis while working with kids, the good and the bad.

1. Aww he's so sweet.

2. She knows what she's doing is wrong!

3. Maybe we should go all Game Of Thrones and settle their arguments by trial by combat.

4. How many times do I have to say the same thing?

5. Thank the lord I'm not a teacher, I don't think I could put up with this all the time!

6. Tantrum incoming!

7. *laughs* their rules to this game makes no sense

9. Wow! That was pretty deep for a 7 year old.

10. Yes! Put on a film so I don't have to do anything!

11. No! Why do you want to go on the playground? It's freezing out there!

12. I have never heard of this game before!

13. God, I'm old.

14. You don't need to explain to me what that word means I'm not that old!

15. Aw they aren't so bad really

16. That picture she just drew is so cute! I have no idea what it's supposed to be though,

17. I can't read their handwriting!

18. Oh dear I wasn't listening to her. Oops.

19. It's nearly home time!

20. Why do they just stare at you like that?

  3. This was so funny ella! I would be the same way. I have about a zero patience level so kids are generally a no for me. Good job for trying something new! Hope you are doing well my lovely friend! XO-Kim

  4. This was such a cute post! My brother works in a nursery with 2 -3 year olds and he always comes home with stories like this! Number 13 and 14 made me laugh out loud :') And the last one is so true! My niece is 1 and sometimes she just stares at me in such a funny way I'd love to know what she's thinking (or maybe not if it's insulting!!) Such a funny little post, loved it!
