August Favourites

Hello my lovely readers, yeah so August flew by like all the other months in this year. August was a nice and relaxing month for me, perfect as I'll be starting my new job and MA soon. I enjoyed a few new products and other bits this month so let's get to them..

Primark Makeup Sponges
So I picked these up for £1.50 not expecting much but they are so good for their price. Makeup looks really lovely using these and they are really easy to wash. Not bad for £1.50!

BHcosmetics Baked and Beautiful Palette
I adore this palette it comes with 20 gorgeous shades that are so pretty and really pigmented. They shades can be worn for a daytime or nighttime look and last for so long with or without a primer. You can find my review of this palette here

Johnson's Baby Bath
I adore the smell of this, it's so calming and subtle. It leaves my skin as soft as, well, a baby's!

Lavender Yankee Candle
I'm a huge Yankee Candle fan and this one is a perfect addition to my collection. The smell is amazing but not overpowering and is really calming. The candle lasts for ages, I've burned it loads of times and I've hardly made a dent.

Kitchen by Banana Yoshimoto
Kitchen is the first book by Banana Yoshimoto and contains two novellas: Kitchen and Moonlight Shadow. Kitchen follows the story of a young women who had lost her last grandparent, where Moonlight Shadow follows a young women who has recently lost her childhood sweetheart. I loved both stories but Moonlight Shadow was my favourite, it's was so beautifully written and moving.I won'tr go into any more detail for those who might want to read the book themselves.

Lana Del Rey
OK so I've Lana Del Rey for a while but throughout August I found myself listening to her much more. I just love how different her music is to much of the stuff around at the moment and how her music explores themes like relationships, death, sex and so much more. Some of my favourites songs are: Dark Paradise, Lolita, Gods and Monsters, Radio, and Off To the Races.
