July Favourites

Hello lovely readers, so it's the first of August which means it's time for my July favourites. July was kind of an up and down month for me personally but I did manage to find some new products that I really enjoyed. So I am going to share those with you today. I'm sorry again for the photo quality my new camera charger still hasn't made an appearance (I'm annoyed if you can't tell) anyway on to the favourites.

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Grapefruit Facial Wash & Facial Scrub
I have to admit I bought these because of the smell. I'm a massive fan of grapefruit and this smells just like it! Heavenly! Both the wash and the scrub are really gentle on my skin and leave it feeling so soft and looking clear.

Original Source Sweet Apple and Vanilla Shower Milk
Oh my this stuff smells incredible, like apple flavoured sweets! I can't describe how much I love the smell of this shower gel! OK I'll calm down now. Smell aside, there isn't much else to say about this product, it gets me clean and my skin feels super soft afterwards. Yay! The product is 100% vegan which makes it even more awesome.

Sleek MakeUP Power Plump Lip Crayon
I had never tried any Sleek products before So I thought I would give this crayon a go, especially as it was under £5, bargain! The colour is absolutely gorgeous, it's in the shade Berry Blast, a bright deep red shade that will be perfect for both summer and autumn. The crayon is easy to apply and doesn't smudge. It takes a while for the tingling sensation to start but when it does it's pleasant and not irritating. I was sceptical whether the crayon would make my lips look fuller but I was surprised, the difference isn't massive but my lips definitely look fuller after using it.

Rimmel London Transparent Lip Liner
I really enjoy using lip liners but it can be annoying trying to find one that matches each of my lipsticks. So having one I can use with everything makes life so much easier. This lip liner makes my lipstick last so much longer and it really moisturises my lips.

The Body Shop Strawberry Body Polish
I love having a gentle exfoliator from time to time and this one really leaves my skin feeling soft. When you smell the body polish from the tube the strawberry scent is so strong it smells jam, which I kind of kike. But once it's on your skin the smell definitely settles down.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate 15 Year Collection Lipstick
So like every other blogger in the universe I love rose gold so the packaging may or may not be what drew me to this lipstick *cough*. I got the shade Muse Red, it's a classic red lip colour, very old Hollywood starlet. It's very bright and has a really creamy texture which feels so good on the lips. It lasts for quite a while too so it might only need to be topped up once in a day.

Rimmel London Kate Matte Lipstick
Another lip product, sorry guys! But this is now my favourite lipstick ever, it's in the shade 107 (super helpful there Rimmel) it's a gorgeous berry red which I am having a massive thing for at the moment. The lipstick is matte but doesn't dry out your lips like some matte lipsticks can. The colour lasts for ages so there is no need to keep topping it up. I love it!

The Maker (Animation Short) by Zealous Creative
So my mum was browsing through her Amazon Prime account while I was reading when I hear her exclaim "what the hell is this?". I look up to see a weird, kind of creepy, bunny like creature staring at me. Finding out it was an animation short I insisted we watch it as I'm obsessed with animation. I won't explain the plot as I don't want to give anything away. But the animation is stunning, the detail is incredible and the music is beautiful. The Maker came out a few years ago and I can't believe I had never heard of it before. If you don't have Amazon Prime you can find the short on YouTube here. I really can't recommend it enough.

So those were my July Favourites. I hope you enjoyed this post and that July was an awesome month for you! Have you tried any of my favourites? What were you loving over July?

Thanks for reading!

  2. How have you found the neutrogena facial wash and scrub has cleared up pimples quickly? maybe even stop them from happening? I'm having a serious acne breakout and cannot find a good enough cleanser

    1. I found that it kept my skin pretty clear sometimes when I first use a new product it can cause me to break out but these definitively didn't do that. I can't say that they got rid of spots as I didn't have any to begin with. But I would recommend giving them a try and see what happens! Hope this helps, thanks for stopping by!

  3. I've been intrigued by the Sleek crayon. I've not picked up though, because plumping lip products I've tried before have been too uncomfortable. I will definitely check it now though xx
