Daily Struggles Of A 23 Year Old Woman

Hello everyone I hope your week is going well so far! Today I thought I would share with you some of my daily struggles because let's face it although life is amazing it does come with it's little annoyances. So I thought I would share them with you as I'm sure you'll be able to relate to at least some of them.

 Being called a woman/adult
OK. This one is still weird for me, I still feel like a 10 year old so when people call me a woman or an adult I feel uneasy like I'm an imposter or something.

Being treated like a child
So this is a bit contradictory to my last point but although I get uneasy being called an adult, being treated like a child pisses me off no end. I was recently sitting in the induction to my crappy temporary part time job in a room full of 20 plus year olds being spoken to like a school kid.

 Music
While job hunting or blogging I always listen to music, I love music but YouTube does like to suggest gems from my childhood, so I end up listening to NSYNC or Britney for hours on end. I then worry that maybe I'm too old for it, but let's face it the worry doesn't last long after hearing the first few seconds of Bye Bye Bye.

Productivity
Some days I just want to take over the world and do everything I am physically and mentally able to but then other days I just want to stay in my PJs all day watching anime and eating noodles.

"I'll just have a quick look for some recipes" I'll say to myself. Two hours later I'm pinning how to make my own unicorn headband (true story I'm afraid to say).

Shaving
Shaving is just one of those things that it has to be done (well it doesn't if you don't want to shave that's up to you) but I personally like having smooth legs. The downside to this is that I have to become a contortionist to achieve this.

I have the same problem with Instagram as I do with Pinterest I will spend hours scrolling through my feed without so much as moving an inch. I also get massive envy of peoples' perfect photos.

Hair
I have long thick hair. Need I say more? It's a nightmare! I'll spend an age trying to get it to look nice but within five minutes I'll have gotten irritated with it and scraped it all back into a bun.

Money
Money is a constant issue with me as my job hunt has not exactly gone well so far so I am always strapped for cash. Meaning that I can't save for my own place, go out with friends, go travelling or buy huge amounts of clothes. Can I just win the lottery now?

Although there are some little struggles in life I am extremely fortunate and grateful for everything I do have. I hope you enjoyed reading this post? Can you relate to any of these struggles? What daily struggles do you face?

Thanks for reading!

  1. Totally agree. My hair has an absolute mind of its own and money struggles are the worst! I want to do everything but funds really don't allow. Let's hope we both win the lottery.

  3. I love it when people get real with their problems instead of playing perfect, but in the same time finds positivity amidst all that. definitely enjoyed this post! I learned that as we grow older, some of our problems become so trivial we don't think of them anymore, but new problems come to take their places. that just means we can't stop learning :) btw i totally share that problem on productivity hahahaha

Believe me one day you will be extremely thankful for your hair. I was moaning about mine, tried everything, bleached it, curled it, straightened it and at the end ruined it! Now I cannot wait for my hair to have a little bit more life in them.
