Ho ho ho, Merry Christmas lovely readers! Yes I did just say ho ho ho and I'm not embarrassed. As Christmas is just two sleeps away I thought I would make today's post a Christmas theme post. So I am sharing with you my Top 10 Christmas films, these are the films that for me make Christmas just that extra bit special. So let's get to it...

10. Meet Me in St Louis
Starring Judy Garland, this musical is about four sisters as they prepare to move from their home. The song "Have Yourself A Merry Christmas" was first preformed in this film.

9. The Holiday
Two women who have been hurt by love swap houses for the Christmas holidays and find love in the new countries they have moved to.

8. Love Actually
Set in the Christmas period the film follows the stories of many different characters dealing with love, loss and family. It's a lovely film that will leave you feeling all warm inside.

7. Home Alone
Eight year old Kevin is accidentally left behind when his family go to Paris for Christmas. Kevin has to protect his home from two thieves who have been wanting to rob the house for ages.

6. The Snowman
Based on the story by Raymond Briggs this is a short film about a boy who builds a snowman that comes to life.

5. Father Christmas
Another short film based on a story by Raymond Briggs the film follows Father Christmas as he decides to take a holiday and then what he gets up to on Christmas Eve.

4. The Nightmare Before Christmas
No it is not a Halloween film, it's a Christmas film. Jack Skeleton becomes bored of his own holiday and goes in search for a new one.

3. The Muppet Christmas Carol
Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol meets The Muppets I love this film it's so heart warming and a lot of fun.

2. A Christmas Carol Animated (1971)
This was a TV short a cartoon version of A Christmas Carol. I absolutely adore this version as it is very true to the book, I just wish it was easy to find on DVD but you can find it on Youtube.

1. A Christmas Carol AKA Scrooge (1951)
Alastair Sim gives the best performance of Scrooge in this film and stays very true to the book. This definitely is my favourite Christmas film and it's not Christmas unless I watch this film.

I hope you all have a very merry Christmas and that you enjoyed this Top 10. Do you like any of these films? What are your favourite Christmas films?

Merry Christmas and thank you for reading!
