October Favourites

Hello all you lovely readers! It’s November already, yep I don’t know how that happened either. I haven’t done a monthly favourites in a while, as I’ve said before I don’t see the point in doing them if I haven’t been trying anything new. Luckily in October I tried a few new things out which I can share with you today.

1.       Garnier Body Intensive 7 Days Nourishing Lotion
I’ve been suffering with dry skin recently, blame it on the cold weather I guess. So I decided to give this moisturiser a go and I was really pleased with it, my skin feels so soft after I use it. The sent is fruity but very subtle and fades quickly, which I like as it means it doesn’t interfere with my perfume. The consistency was a lot thinner than I was expecting but a little goes a long way, if you put too much on it does make your skin slightly sticky. But overall I was impressed with how well this worked on my skin.

2.       Seventeen Precision Eyeliner Pen
I find eyeliners tricky, they often irritate my eyes or are difficult to apply. Not this one, it glides on and stays put for hours after I’ve applied it. The only downside is it takes a little bit of time to dry.

3.       Boot’s Tea Tree and Mint Shampoo
As I am still looking for a job currently and money is tight I’ve had to search for cheaper alternatives to many of my beauty products. At £1 this is a steal, my hair feels so fresh and clean afterwards and the smell is amazing, you all know I love minty scents.

1.       The Big Bang Theory
Yes, I came pretty late to the party on this one. The Big Bang Theory focuses on four scientists working at the same university and their relationships with: women, each other, their work and all things geeky. It is really funny and surprisingly touching at times.

2.       The Young Guns
I discovered this band through one of my favourite Youtubers, Jenn Im (the drummer of the band is her boyfriend). I love the Young Gun’s sound, think hard/indie rock, they remind me a little of You Me At Six but they definitely have their own style. Two of my favourite songs of theirs are, Rising Up and Speaking In Tongues.

1.       Sweet and Salt Popcorn
Oh my, this stuff is heavenly, a mix of sweet and salt popcorn for those who can’t choose. I was sceptical at first but the two flavours taste amazing together and at 1 calories per serving you can’t go wrong. Although I think that goes out the window when you eat the whole pack in one sitting, oops.

1.       Primark Playsuit
Dan treated me to this as we had seen it before and I fell in love with it, then we found it in the sale for £5. I love the 70s look as you know and the bell sleeves and pattern of this playsuit scream 70s to me. I love wearing it with tights and my little black boots now and in the summer I’ll team it with some gladiator sandals.

I hope you all enjoyed my October favourites. Have you tried any of these things? What things were you loving last month?
