August Favourites

Hello everyone! First of all I want to apologise for my posts not being as frequent as they normally are, I’ve been quite stressed out lately so I’ve been taking time to focus on myself. Anyway I cannot believe how quickly this month has gone I can tell it’s going to be Christmas before I know it! I only do a monthly favourites if I have found a lot of new products that I’ve enjoyed otherwise I don’t see the point and during August I tried a lot of new things that I loved so lets get to it.

Boots Essentials Cucumber Facial Toner
I dedicated a whole post to Boots Essentials products because I think they are great for such cheap prices. I rediscovered this facial toner and oh my I’m so pleased I did. It leaves my face feeling super super clean and a lot tighter.

L’Oreal Paris Perfect Match Concealer
Concealers are products I always find to be a little bit tricky, they can look too caked on or highlight blemishes rather than concealer. But not this beaut, it hides my blemishes really well (perfect as I have had a suddenly broken loads, sob!) and really reduces the shadows under my eyes.

Maybelline New York Super Stay 24 Hours Powder
My skin has been quite greasy lately but this powder has really combated that and gives my makeup a matte finish. I wouldn’t say it lasts 24 hours, but then who has their makeup on for 24 hours straight? But it does lasts for a long time.

Ted Baker Pink Mini Body Lotion
Next up is a body lotion form a brand I love, I love a bit of Ted Baker so when I saw this cute little pot of body lotion for £2.50 I had to treat myself. Firstly, the packaging is so cute (one of the things I love about Ted Baker products) the smell is really subtle which I love especially if I’ve used scented products in the shower before. This body lotion left my skin really smooth for hours after I used it, I only wish I had a bigger pot of it.

Lush’s Intergalactic Bath Bomb
It’s happened! I have a new favourite Lush bath bomb! Intergalactic smells amazing, really fresh and mint it’s really refreshing so it’s better to use this bath bomb in the morning as it really wakes you up. It turns the bath water a really dark blue and has a tonne of glitter so it looks like the night sky, which I suppose is what Lush was going for. After I used this bath bomb my skin was really soft and moisturised. The only thing I will say is that there is a load of glitter that sticks to your skin I don’t mind at all but other people may not want that.

Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro
I’ve had this book for ages but kept forgetting about it. I don’t want to give too much away but the book follows a woman trying to come to terms with her childhood and what waited for her when she finished school.

Gemma Bovery
Based on book Madame Bovery by Gustave Flaubert, starring Gemma Arterton who I have a massive crush on. When a young woman and her husband move to France where the book was written events that happen to Gemma as they did to the character in the book Madame Bovery. You can watch the trailer here.

I hope you enjoyed reading my favourites! Have you tried any of these products? What have you been enjoying this past month?

Thanks for reading!
